​ The 2024 Music Festival in Audlem was without doubt another fantastic success. Over 50 different acts in 6 performing locations, and a thriving arts and crafts fair in the Public Hall attracted we estimate over 3,000 people to the village over the three and a half days. And above all, it was completely free to attend. In 2023 – another great festival – we managed to secure Council grant funding to help us balance the books for that year. In 2024, unfortunately, despite trying, we were unable to replicate that, and that year's festival ran at a loss of nearly £3,000. We're lucky that we had some modest reserves which allowed us to address that gap, but relying on that was not sustainable. Setting up the lottery establishes a regular funding stream to allow us to continue running and improving the festival, over and above the year long fundraising activity that already takes place by a team of dedicated volunteers. You can see the funds we raise through our monthly draws on this web site, and these figures are dynamically updated as income is reconciled. We're run the draw as part of the Friday Open Mic at the Shroppie Fly (the second Friday of each month), and news of each lottery draw are published on this site and through our various social media channels.
