PLEASE HELP SECURE THE FUTURE OF THE FREE AUDLEM MUSIC FESTIVAL

The 2024 Music Festival in Audlem was without doubt another fantastic success. Over 50 different acts in 6 performing locations, and a thriving arts and crafts fair in the Public Hall attracted we estimate over 3,000 people to the village over the three and a half days. And above all, it was completely free to attend.

In 2023 – another great festival – we managed to secure Council grant funding to help us balance the books for that year. This year, unfortunately, despite trying, we were unable to replicate that, and 2024's festival ran at a loss of nearly £3,000.

We're lucky that we have some modest reserves which have allowed us to address that gap, but relying on that is not sustainable. We need to establish a regular funding stream to allow us to continue running and improving the festival, over and above the year long fundraising activity that already takes place by a team of dedicated volunteers.

So we're launching the Audlem Music Festival monthly lottery. We're asking you to purchase a ticket (or tickets!) for £5 a month. We will hold a monthly draw, with four runner up prizes and one grand prize each month. The value of the prizes will be directly related to the number of tickets we sell. For example, if we sell 250 tickets, then that will equate to a runner up prize value of £50 and a grand prize of £300.

You can submit your ticket application either online at www.audlemfestival.live or complete the form overleaf, and hand in to a member of staff at William's newsagent.

Once we receive your application, we'll send you your customer and ticket number(s) and instructions on setting up a standing order. We're planning on running the draw as part of the Friday Open Mic at the Shroppie Fly (the second Friday of each month), and the dates will be published

  • What happens if my payment isn’t received by the 5th of the month?
We understand that bank processing times can vary, especially around weekends and bank holidays. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we recommend setting up your payment a few days in advance. Payments need to be received by us by the end of the 5th of each month to be included in that month’s draw. If we don’t receive your payment by then, you won’t be entered into the draw for that month. If you have any concerns or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us at lottery@audlemfestival.live.
  • How do I update my standing order or purchase additional tickets?
If you wish to adjust your standing order or buy more tickets, please contact us at lottery@audlemfestival.live. We’ll guide you through the process to ensure your changes are correctly implemented. For any questions, our team is always here to help.
  • Can I cancel my participation in the lottery?
Absolutely, you can cancel your standing order at any time. Any payments received before the cancellation will still count towards the upcoming draw. We hope you’ll consider rejoining in the future, and if you need any help with the process, just let us know at lottery@audlemfestival.live.
  • What if I overpay or underpay for my tickets?
No worries if there’s a mix-up with your payment. If you underpay, we’ll enter you into the draw for the number of tickets covered by your payment and notify you of any discrepancies. If you overpay, we’ll ensure you receive the correct number of tickets and provide details on how to adjust your payment. For any payment issues, please contact us at lottery@audlemfestival.live.
  • How will I know if I’ve won a prize?
Winners will be notified via email and announced publicly unless anonymity is requested. You’ll have 180 days from the initial notification to claim your prize. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll do our best to follow up. Unclaimed prizes after this period will be used to support the festival. For any queries about your prize, reach out to us at lottery@audlemfestival.live.
  • Can I choose to remain anonymous if I win?
Of course! If you prefer not to have your name publicly announced, just let us know when you register or any time before the draw. Your privacy is important to us, and we’ll ensure your anonymity is respected. For more information, contact us at lottery@audlemfestival.live.
  • Who is eligible to enter the lottery?
Anyone aged 16 or older can join our lottery. However, those directly involved in running the lottery, such as the managing director, promoter, administrator, auditor, and their immediate family members, are not eligible. We appreciate your understanding and support. If you have any eligibility questions, please email us at lottery@audlemfestival.live.
  • Should I keep my player ID private?
Yes, please keep your player ID private and do not share it publicly. Your player ID is used for setting up payments and verifying your entry into the draw. Keeping it private helps protect your personal information and ensures the security of your lottery participation. If you have any questions about your player ID, please contact us at lottery@audlemfestival.live.
  • What do we do with the money raised from the lottery?
The money raised from the lottery helps support the Audlem Music & Arts Festival. Your contributions make a significant difference to us and the performers. The funds are used to cover various festival expenses, ensure we can continue to provide a high-quality experience for attendees, and support the artists and musicians who make the festival special. By participating in the lottery, you’re directly contributing to the sustainability and growth of the festival, benefiting the local community and enriching the cultural landscape. Thank you for your support!
