Why did we set up the Audlem Music and Arts Festival Lottery? The 2024 Music Festival in Audlem was without doubt another fantastic success. Over 50 different acts in 6 performing locations, and a thriving arts and crafts fair in the Public Hall attracted we estimate over 3,000 people to the village over the three and a half days. And above all, it was completely free to attend. In 2023 – another great festival – we managed to secure Council grant funding to help us balance the books for that year. In 2024, unfortunately, despite trying, we were unable to replicate that, and that year's festival ran at a loss of nearly £3,000. We're lucky that we had some modest reserves which allowed us to address that gap, but relying on that was not sustainable. Setting up the lottery establishes a regular funding stream to allow us to continue running and improving the festival, over and above the year long fundraising activity that already takes place by a team of dedicated volunteers. You can see the funds we raise through our monthly draws on this web site, and these figures are dynamically updated as income is reconciled. We're run the draw as part of the Friday Open Mic at the Shroppie Fly (the second Friday of each month), and news of each lottery draw are published on this site and through our various social media channels.

Who is eligible to enter the lottery?Anyone who is a UK resident aged 16 or over is eligible to enter our lottery. However, to ensure transparency and fairness, those directly involved in operating the lottery - including the managing director, promoter, administrator, auditor, and their immediate family members — are not eligible to participate. We reserve the right to withdraw or disqualify any participant if we determine that they do not meet the eligibility requirements or have violated the Terms & Conditions of the lottery. By subscribing, you'll ensure that your chosen number of tickets are automatically entered into each draw—no need to remember to buy tickets manually! How to Subscribe: Visit Our Subscription Page – Head over to our lottery subscription page. Choose Your Ticket Quantity – Select how many tickets you’d like to purchase each month. Pick Your Billing Date – Your payment will be automatically processed on the same date each month. Enter Your Payment Details – Securely provide your payment information to complete your subscription. Access Your Members Area – Once subscribed, you'll gain access to a Members Area where you can: Manage your subscription Update payment details View your payment history Cancel or modify your plan if needed Why Subscribe? Standing orders When we originally started the lottery, we didn't have the means set up to use credit and debit cards, so we asked you to set up a standing order. Thanks to the massive effort of the lottery team, card payments went live at the end of March 2025, so from that point we stopped taking any new standing orders. Existing standing order arrangements remain valid, but you'll get an improved experience from the web site if you change to a card based subscription. (You'll have to set up a new subscription, and then cancel your standing order).

Can I purchase a one-off ticket for the monthly lottery?Yes! If you’d like to enter the Audlem Music & Arts Festival Monthly Lottery without subscribing, you can purchase one-time tickets for the current draw. Simply visit our Buy Now page and follow these steps: Fill out your details – Enter your information and the number of tickets you wish to purchase. Click "Buy Now" and securely complete your payment. Receive Your Tickets – Once we’ve received your payment, your tickets will be emailed to you. This option is perfect if you want to try your luck for a single month or prefer to buy tickets as and when you choose. The 5th of each month is the cut off date for that month's lottery, so please make sure to complete your purchase before the deadline to ensure your entry for that month. Need assistance? Can I purchase a one-off event lottery tickets?Yes! At our discretion, we will run a special event lottery. We're planning on doing this during the festival in 2025, for example, which will help to raise funds for our nominated charity. You can purchase one-off tickets for these special draws as soon as they become available. To enter, visit our Event Lottery page and follow these steps: Check the countdown clock – This shows when ticket sales open for the next special lottery event. Fill out your details – Enter your information and select the number of tickets you’d like to purchase. Click "Buy Now" – Securely complete your payment. How is my monthly payment taken and tickets entered into the lottery?When you subscribe to our monthly lottery, your payment is automatically processed through Wix Payments, which is securely integrated with Stripe. Here’s how it works: Payment Process: Automatic Billing – Your chosen payment method is charged automatically on the same date each month based on when you subscribed. Secure Transactions – Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. Transaction Confirmation – You’ll receive a confirmation email once your payment has been successfully processed. Lottery Entry Process: As soon as your payment is received, your tickets are automatically entered into the upcoming draw. Your tickets are linked to your subscription, and there’s nothing more you need to do—just wait for the results! You can view your payment history and subscription details anytime in your Members Area. Managing Your Subscription: You can update your payment method or cancel your subscription at any time through your Members Area. How are the prizes for the lottery decided?How many prizes are there? The value of prizes in each lottery draw depends on the total ticket sales. Here’s how the prize structure works: 40% of total ticket sales goes into the prize pot. Main Prize – 60% of the prize pot is awarded to the top winner. Runner-Up Prizes – The remaining 40% of the prize pot is split equally among four runner-up winners. The more tickets sold, the bigger the prize pot—so spread the word and increase the winnings! 🎁 Special Prizes – Occasionally, we also offer bonus prizes, such as event tickets and other exciting rewards! How are winners chosen?Our lottery draw is conducted fairly, transparently, and completely at random using an automated system designed to ensure every participant has an equal chance of winning. How the Draw Works: To guarantee fairness, we use multiple layers of randomization throughout the selection process: All entries are shuffled before the draw begins to remove any bias in the order tickets were purchased. Entries are randomly assigned a new order to further ensure unpredictability. Winners are selected at random using an industry-standard randomization process, ensuring no preference or pattern affects the results. Each winning Ticket is unique – Once a ticket entry is selected as a winner, it cannot be chosen again in the same draw. Fairness & Security: The entire process is fully automated with no manual intervention, ensuring complete fairness. Our system follows recognized industry standards for random selection, similar to those used in professional lottery systems. Every draw starts fresh, with all previous results cleared to prevent any influence on future draws. Do we see or hold your card payment details?No, we do not see, store, or have access to your card payment details. All payments for our lottery subscriptions and one-time ticket purchases are securely processed through Wix Payments, which is integrated with Stripe, a globally trusted and PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. What happens if my payment isn’t received by the 5th of the month?We understand that bank processing times can vary, especially around weekends and bank holidays. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we recommend setting up your payment a few days in advance of the cut off date (for example the 2nd of the month). Payments need to be received by us by the end of the 5th of each month to be included in that month’s draw. If we don’t receive your payment by then, you won’t be entered into the draw for that month. Can I cancel my participation in the lottery if I set up a standing order?You can cancel your standing order at any time through your bank. Any payments received before the cancellation will still count towards the upcoming draw. We’d love to have you continue participating, and now it’s even easier! When is the lottery draw held?We run the draw as part of the Friday Open Mic (on the second Friday of each month), and the dates will be published on this web site and on our social media channels. Under normal circumstances the lottery is run live at around 9pm, but we do reserve the right to run it off line if there aren't enough lottery team members available on the Open Mic night. We'll announce the dates for special event lotteries on a case by case basis.
